| | So my buddy Ed keeps track of his yearly book reading on his blog, so I thought I'd follow suit this year. I set a goal of 18 books this year (I am a slow reader). So here is where I am at this year:
My roommate got this for me for Christmas. I read the whole 12 volume manga series of Death Note last year and loved it. This is a prequel novel that ties together something mentioned early in the series (volume 2 I think). It was a very fast read, and good if you are familiar with the whole manga series. It references characters that you don't meet until later in the series, so one that hasn't read the series could become confused. There appears to be a couple other story offshoots that could come from this novel (a 2nd and 3rd prequel to the series). I hope they go through with it, because I love the Death Note world. |
